FK have been working with Astra Zeneca since 1996. In 2001, we became involved in the design, build-ability and overall project budget of this development and were responsible for liaising with numerous other contractors and specialist suppliers to ensure the project’s success within the programme dates.
On this project, the co-ordination of just-in-time material deliverers was particularly complicated, especially the long curved roof sheet, as the site has a tight footprint and is surrounded by a working manufacturing plant.
In this instance, we agreed an open book project reconciliation with the client, through monthly cost and progress reports throughout the project.
